The south west we have showers developing from a low Pressure Point here. It looks as though temperatures will sit close to freezing in many places so a chilly start and before i look at wednesday, lets look ahead and see the general trend and a couple of Weather Fronts to clear away, and this one will allow another area of High Pressure to drift down from the north and that will be quite significant because a north easterly flow will drive in a Cooler Air Mass across the country and a noticeable difference to the feel of the weather over the next few days. Back to wednesday, however, it looks likely it will start off with showers around across parts of cornwall, devon and into south wales and they will gradually drift north and they will gradually drift north and east along the m4 corridor. The low cloud, mist and murkiness perhaps just drifting but lingering along the north sea coast and some brighter skies out to the west, but a difference to the feel of the weather further north and we might see highest values of 14 in the south east if we are lucky but then the cooler air arrives through thursday and friday and a noticeable difference for all. Difference for all. George. Thank ou, difference for all. George. Thank you. Louise thats all from the bbc news at six, so its goodbye from me, and on bbc one we nowjoin the bbc s news teams where you are. Hello and welcome to sportsday. Im catherine downs. Racings image crisis continues another image of a dead horse on the gallops, a jockey on top, while horses are moved from Gordon Elliots yard, with cheltenham just two weeks away. Part of the original liverpool Revolution Ian Stjohn has died at the age of 82. Well look back at his two great careers on the pitch and on the screen. And andy murray talks about the stress and motivation of proving his critics wrong every time he plays. Hello good evening. More disturbing pictures from the world of horse racing today as the sports image crisis deepens. Yesterday the grand National Winning trainer Gordon Elliot issued an apology, after a photograph appeared of him sitting on a dead horse on the training gallops. Hes been temporarily banned from racing in britain while the incident is investigated. Elliot has said it was a moment of madness. Today eight horses have been removed from elliots yard to train elsewhere including Cheltenham Festival favourite envoi allen. The festival is just two weeks away. And also today, a video has emerged of Amateurjockey Robjames climbing on a horse that died of a heart attack while training hes apologised too, saying his actions were wholly inappropriate and disrespectful, he say s hes heartbroken by the damage hes caused. So with the controversial cheltenham and aintree meetings just around the corner, where Horse Welfare is always in the spotlight how damaging has this been to the sports reputation . Earlier, i spoke to the british horse racing authoritys director of Equine Health and welfare james given, and i started by asking him for his reaction to the images at the center of the storm. Im deeply saddened, and actually more than that, angry. Angry for all the people who work in sport whose values are just not represented by those images. Ive worked on it for nearly three decades now and i have never seen any behaviour that resembles this. Itsjust never seen any behaviour that resembles this. Its just in normas frustration that what this represents two people who arent interested in horse racing who get presented with these images is that its just unrecognisable to everybody who works in the sport and cares for horses very deeply. Ian stjohn has died at the age of 82. He was part of bill shankly s transformation of liverpool into a footballing superpower scoring the goal that won them their first fa cup in 1965. And after his Playing Career came to an end, he became a brilliant Broadcaster Essential Viewing for footballs fans on a saturday lunchtime Withjimmy Greaves on Saint And Greavsie. First, as a fan, standing there, watching the same play, ripping it all up before them, the wonderful duo of roger hunt and ian stjohn was absolutely fantastic in the 60s, winning the league and 64, and again in 66, but it was that memorable day, as you have just said, scored the winning goal against leads united at wembley in an fa cup final, liverpools first, and he was some player. Hejust characterised the whole of the liverpool side, what he wanted in a player, he gave it his all, and he was only really quite small when he was only really quite small when he was fantastic in the air, and he put himself about, gave centre backs a lot of trouble. He was absolutely fantastic, and at the time in liverpool, they were making massive statements. ,. , liverpool, they were making massive statements statements. Yes, that revolution that came from the outcome statements. Yes, that revolution that came from the outcome of l statements. Yes, that revolution that came from the outcome of those years and years of dominance, he was there right at the beginning. What was he like around the Training Ground . You were a youngster coming through, you are an apprentice at the time, was he encouraging from a was a friendly, was he quite scary . He was quite scary, not as tommy smith, but being a young lad, i was an apprentice, so ive got two years as an apprentice. It was just being as an apprentice. It was just being a liverpool fan, being in that dressing room, cleaning dirty boots, taking care of the saint, but he could be, he was very, very quick with his tone. He could give you a lashing and he could give you really some good advice. He was one of those players who you didnt mess with, and a lot of the other players would do because the saint was like that. Next to him was tommy smith. Tommy was the other one who really frightened me and that dressing room, whether i put his kit out right or if i took it away rights, whether i clean his boots properly, it was massive, but the saints the saints, we will always remember him in the liverpool family for that one day. That one day in may, at wimpy, scoring that winning goal, diving ahead or come away from the goal, to headed back towards the net, a memorable moment. That ackknife net, a memorable moment. That jackknife and net, a memorable moment. That jackknife and i net, a memorable moment. That jackknife and i think net, a memorable moment. That jackknife and i think they call it, dont they . You mentioned his quick wit and quick tongue, and obviously that was hugely important to him when he switched to being a broadcaster. Did you watch his show, did you see it . Edit broadcaster. We marveled at it because, dont forget, everything was set before us, match of the day, on a ball on the sunday, the matches, and we were all very, very clinical, and everybody can use sort of knew what everybody was going to say, but not with that show. You knew saint was the front man who would have to look at the auto cue and deliver those words to sort of get a little bit of et coming after them, butjimmy wasnt like that. Jimmy was ad libbing and he was ready for a laugh, and saints got along with him and we will always remember the saints lafon there. He was quite loud and he would just laugh at everything. So it was different. Yes, it was serious when needed, but they had a laugh, they have the crack, they had a little bit of fun, and it made our saturday afternoons.
