Com pletely new app is being released to get completely immersed in the trees iam around you. Each one as you pass it, it is a really exciting appointment. I am delighted that Nicole Jacobs, who has more than 20 years of working on the frontline, working would bring out a different tune. We will be talking to one of the with victims, tackling domestic composers behind the music that accompanies your walk around the park that i can tell you something abuse, is going to start this. It for sure this morning, a birdsong shows and it gives a sense of the will tell you it is a chilly start as it is across many parts of the momentum behind our legislation to tackle Domestic Abuse. What will her uk. To date will be another largely powers be . She is the desert that dry day, there will be exceptions Domestic Abuse commissioner, which but for most quite a we wa nted Domestic Abuse commissioner, which we wanted to do because it takes time to set up an office. That could be a touch of frost on a few clouds first thing but it will designated. We wanted to find out warm up under sunny skies. High pressure moving and across the which areas need to be improved. As country, whether front draped across northern parts of scotland. That the bill is making its way through will bring rain to northern scotland parliament, parliamentarians can scrutinise the role and i very much throughout the day. Not quite as hope that her powers will be set out cold this morning. Temperatures in double figures. A heavier boast of in statute with the consent of the rain. Mcleod across Northern House and she will have the powers to hold local authorities and Central Government to account. You england. Northern ireland, much of will be very well aware as we are wales, lots of sunshine. That there are some very harrowing temperatures high tweens or low 20s. Stories and they are not unusual. They are, in many cases, happening still a bit of a chill in scotland. Far too often and routinely, linked to domestic violence. Why has so the cloud and outbreaks of rain will little progress made in trying to continue across northern scotland. Damp in parts of shetland into help people in those situations . Tomorrow morning. Cloud lingering in there are 2 million victims of Domestic Abuse across the country northern scotland. Elsewhere the and we know abuse takes different skies. A greater chance of mist and fog in Northern Ireland, northern forms, it is notjust the physical england and north wales especially. Violence, it can also be emotional, tomorrow morning, another cold start economic and sexual abuse. Previous for england and wales. That will government worked very hard on bringing together the draft bill. We clear. Lots of sunshine developing. Had a consultation last year. We a bit of cloud across northern scotland. It will take a while to condensed responses and tried to brighten up at least for many a dry make the bill as strong as possible. Day compared to today and we have gone further than normal temperatures, if anything, a little because we invited the house of bit on todays values especially you lords and the house of commons to scrutinise the bill before it was have the sunshine. 0n put before parliament and then the bit on todays values especially you have the sunshine. On friday, bill itself was introduced in the south westerly winds and look at summer. I think it is fantastic that that shut, Bailey Mcleod to be found. Some morning mist and fog for the Prime Minister and secretary the journey to work. Barely have announced, a little cheekily, ahead of the queens speech, to mcleod to be had. Temperatures could pursue this. And todays appointment get into the 20s and quite a few gives victims and charities the spots. Maybe down a bit in the assurance that we are determined to south east corner as the wind picks help bring this bill and the non up. More of a southerly airflow. 0n legislative measures forward because we are agreed this is a serious saturday, into the 20s. Most dry for hidden crime and it has been far too the bulk of the day but we could see long over the last few decades before things were done and we are pleased we are tackling this head heavy showers and thunderstorms develop late in the day. That is out your weather is looking. I will have on. More details throughout the morning. Now back to you. You say it is wonderful that the thank you very much, matt. Lets take a look at todays papers. Bill will be brought forward. Can i the Supreme Court hearing over be clear about this so people the Prime Ministers decision understand . To suspend parliament features be clear about this so people understand . Its because be clear about this so people understand . Its because parliament has been prorogued that this thing on many of the front pages. Is stopped in its tracks. So, is it the times leads with a warning from a guarantee that the bill will be Boris Johnson that the countrys most seniorjudges have no jurisdiction over his decision to prorogue parliament. Pa rt a guarantee that the bill will be part of the queens speech on october 1a . Is that a guarantee . Is that a the Daily Telegraph reports on comments from the us ambassador, woodyjohnson. He says the Prime Ministers guarantee . Treatment in luxembourg is a reminder of why the uk wants 1a . Is that a guarantee . Is that a uarantee . Queens 1a . Is that a guarantee . Is that a guarantee . Queens speech. 1a . Is that a guarantee . Is that a guarantee . Queens speechlj 1a . Is that a guarantee . Is that a guarantee . Queens speech. I must correct you on the timetabling to leave the european union. Point. The bill itself has been that was the business of him not active, it really has been worked on really expeditiously and thoroughly. Appearing on the podium, you might remember that one. The daily express has a lead about diabetes, we took the step of pre legislative claiming one in four hospital beds will be occupied by type two scrutiny precisely because we wanted diabetics by 2030. The bill to be the best shape it and according to the guardian, could be. Have already accepted 23 Jeremy Corbyn would stay neutral of the 33 recommendations. This and carry out whatever the public report, this scrutiny report was only handed out in, i think, june. And were working on the outstanding decided in the event of a second eu ten recommendations that have been made by the committee. So i promise you, the work on this has been referendum, if he were Prime Minister. Relentless and has not in any way the labour leader says been held up by any of the he would put his brexit deal forward to a referendum. Procedures in parliament. It is 0ver over 4 Million People were watching important also to emphasise that the bill is a really important part of our overall package, but the non this stream of the Supreme Court. Legislative measures are really, its very procedural, necessarily, but massively important at the same really vital to. So, for example, we time. So we will be talking about how that carried on later today. Have rolled out operation encompass, which means every school in the country should be able to have a time. So we will be talking about how that carried on later todaym lots of the financial sections this relationship with the police so if a morning, this is the financial child witness is a Domestic Abuse incident the night before the school times, serious woe deepens as bond day starts, the school is warned pulled sirius. So that is about ahead in advance, so when the tide comes to school, the school treats mining potash, which becomes the child for the extra care and fertiliser. But there are about {2. 5 attention they will need. This is just one example of the raft of a million shortage to completing the thing, 120 measures that we are project, that will be a real blow to taking to tackle this crime raft that part of the country. It was meant to provide 1000 high skilled, of, i think, taking to tackle this crime raft of, ithink, but taking to tackle this crime raft of, i think, but we cantjust rely high paid jobs. So further doubt on legislation to change peoples cast on that today. In the daily attitude and behaviour. Sometimes the accusation from people involved in these organisations is that politicians feel removed sometimes mirror, credit card fees, we know the base rate is still at 0. 75 , but from the subject matter they are talking about. Have you spoken to people directly who are victims of credit card fees are going to nearly Domestic Abuse . Is it something that 2596. Has crossed your radar in any sense . Credit card fees are going to nearly 25 . There is a call to bring them down. And these are the people who because it is. We know someone are borrowing the most that and are paying the most interest, those who are struggling financially. The personally, ourfamily, because it is. We know someone personally, our family, our friends, there is someone who we will know is front pages great reading if you are a member of Domestic Abuse at this point in time. There will be people a wales fan with the Rugby World Cup watching this Programme Today who will be suffering at home who imminent. They have the same story as everyone else, obviously the perhaps dont realise that the form football is on there. Robert howley, of behaviour they are suffering from at home is a fact in fact one of the wales coaches has come abusive. Anothers later so back home because he is being important we have a National Conversation about this. Only yesterday i was visiting Domestic Abuse charities, talking to professionals who work with both investigated for alleged betting infringements. He is the former victims but also perpetrators. Captain of wales, very, very well because we have got to break the cycle of violence with perpetrators known. A very important part of the team, it is the last thing that he as well if we are going to tackle needed. You know, wales, seen as Domestic Abuse. But this is potential favourites to win the world cup. At this point, to lose their coach who has had to take part something i feel Domestic Abuse. But this is something ifeel very, Domestic Abuse. But this is something i feel very, very Domestic Abuse. But this is something ifeel very, very strongly about. I used to prosecute criminals for a living. I spent 20 years in in this investigation, its not the criminal courts and i remembered at the very start of my career, great. Wr have issued a statement arriving at magistrates courts on saying the decision was to act Domestic Abuse cases, she would have immediately in light of recent information. Robert has cooperated put forward withdrawal statements fully and we appreciate this is a because the perpetrator before the difficult and personal matter. This case was heard. So its those applies to all sporting events, doesnt it . But the fine tuning that victims and working for as well as goes into everybody being in the Perfect Place at the right time, the victims of today and tomorrow. Ready for a tournament like this, victoria atkins, thank you very much and then something happens. And the for your time this morning. Victoria yea rs of and then something happens. And the years of preparation. They dont atkins, the Home Office Minister, prepare for this forjust years of preparation. They dont prepare for this for just six months, this is a cycle which they speaking about domestic violence. Are already looking ahead to the next one. So years and years and Nicole Jacobs has been named as the yea rs of government was my first ever next one. So years and years and years of preparation. That is not Domestic Abuse commissioner. It was idealfor years of preparation. That is not ideal for them. Years of preparation. That is not idealfor them. I got one more rugby a little bit silly this morning. Story which is a bit more cheery. Its this. Its the schoolboy dream, i suppose. An interview in the chilly. Matt amongst the trees in telegraph today, wearing his cap, regents park for us this morning. Hows the weather, matt . About how he was the last world cup, good morning to you. Im in regents he watched england play wales, he park in central london. Lets get on was at Cardiff University at the time, ina with the forecast first of all for was at Cardiff University at the time, in a pub, and he couldnt wear his England Rugby shirt. And here he is, just a few years later, actually today. If we take a look at that playing for england after eddie forecast, it is going to be one where we will see lots of dry jones came and met him in wales. Now weather across the uk today, after a bit of a chilly start. It will warm up, but they will be one or two exceptions to the dry rule. We have High Pressure by and large across he has a place in the squad. This is the uk, High Pressure generally a lovely story. Sometimes when your children are in Primary School you means dry, but at the top end of that, the northern half of scotland, get to take the teddy home, dont you . You get to take the teddy home, dont you . You have you see if you weather fronts. That get to take the teddy home, dont you . You have to write a diary about whether goes. Pressure. So imagine is bringing a bit of a spoiler to the otherwise dry and sunny story. A rather grey day across the north of youve got a little toy monkey, a lwa ys maine and scotland in particular. Youve got a little toy monkey, always in australia, you go to Buckingham Palace, and then you lose and here we was this abrasive rain the toy pat you leave it behind and drizzle, and this is where we toy wales. So the toy monkey got left at the palace and obviously the young girl who had taken it was will see some rain and result. Some mortified. So the parents and the good and sunny spells for Northern School wrote to Buckingham Palace ireland, so mcleod from northern and said look, it was last seen at england, sunshine, a bit hazy at Buckingham Palace, have you got this times so, some more cloud for teddy bear . This teddy monkey . And northern england. The temperatures will drift up into the low teens for parts of england and, still stuck in they had. The photographs with the staff were sent back was that he is the low teens across parts of now safe back in australia. That scotland, 10 12 celsius in the far wins the whole Primary School debate, best trip it has ever been north east was up and here this evening overnight there will be some on. Notjust the supermarket. This drainages for a time. Holding onto drizzle for scotland tonight and was at the front page of the times. Into tomorrow morning, that. This is about the music you play temperatures from dropping too much. While driving, what is appropriate but away from that, as the mist and and whats not appropriate. Whats fog patches, northern england, Northern Ireland taking us into the the worse track you could play . Have you read this story . No. Road to thursday morning commute. And across england and in particular it is going to be another chilly morning tomorrow. Temperatures for some well down into low single figures. But, once more, it will warm up. Do the rush hour it will gradually clear. Hell. It is to do with the tempo of still cloudy in northern scotland, but a brighter day than today with less in the way of rain and drizzle. It, 120 beats per minute. It has begged all these questions about what is appropriate, what stops you it is going to feel a bit warmer, getting overexcited . If you are are temperatures in scotland going into the high teens. By friday, where has the high teens. By friday, where has the cloud gone . It has all pushed having a long drive, you dont want to fall asleep, you would wanted to away. The air across the continent, be lively. What do you play . Bruce that will clear some of the mist and fog and want things up nicely. We was the attempt is more widely into a high teens and 20s across the country. And even into the start of springsteens born to run. Sounds the weekend we continue with that like a good road trip. Yes, on a theme, High Pressure starts to boost monday of 56 stop i think a strong to the east of us, the winds go clockwise and that means we will be beat is preferable to something that dragging the airup is going to love you to sleep stop i clockwise and that means we will be dragging the air up from the south, up dragging the air up from the south, up from the near continent, it has been unusually warm across france this week, and some of that like the beatles stop lull you to temperature comes our way. We could see peaks temperature comes our way. We could see pea ks of temperature comes our way. We could see peaks of 35 26 houses in the south east corner of england. So, plenty of time to get out into the sleep. How do you improve the health parking, enjoy the environment and of an entire community . The trees around you. Peaks of 25 that was the question facing the former fishing town of fleetwood in lancashire, where lifestyle choices and illness meant people were dying younger. 26 the trees around you. Peaks of 25 26in the trees around you. Peaks of 25 26 in the south east. So here at three years ago a local gp began led efforts to turn things around, and as our Health Correspondent regenfs 26 in the south east. So here at regents park, we have an up that Dominic Hughes has been finding out, there are encouraging signs of improvement. Will be able to play music for you fighting as you walk around the trees. But yesterday, it broke all records with 4. 4 Million People tuning in. They were watching the first day of the hearing mind when you see that picture . They are both shaking their headslj dont know, itjust felt right at into the decision to suspend that moment when we were going to parliament in the run up to brexit. Lets go to outside the court now the finish line. We wanted to cross and speak to Raphael Hogarth from the institute for government, together. Why . You have so much whos been watching proceedings. For those who have not watched closely, and i know there were lots history together, right . Looking of people watching on line. Take us through the main arguments from yesterday . What happened yesterday back now, you think, there has been was that, in the morning, the barrister for gina miller, a lot of hype about it but at the was that, in the morning, the barristerfor gina miller, who is challenging the prorogation through time he was one of those things. The English Court put forward that sides main argument. He said, first a lot of hype about it but at the time he was one of those thingslj know you dont like talking about it. Tell us a bit about the of all, the Prime Ministers purpose background because it explains why in proroguing parliament for five you did what you did. It was a test weeks was to avoid parliamentary event . It should have been an scrutiny, not as he said to bring in olympic triathlon but they decided a new legislative agenda. Secondly, that was an improper, halfway in the morning that it was going to change to a five kilometre unconstitutional purpose and thirdly, he told the court this was something the court could rule on. Run but the rest of the race will stay the same and personally i thought we would have been fine. That they were legal standards to they made the run shorter so therefore not easier . Good for me. I judge whether what the government did was legitimate. Lawyers for the dont know why they changed it. They government in the afternoon tackled the facts. They said the prorogation did not put it out as an option. It of five weeks is not that extraordinary and has happened did not put it out as an option. It did not put it out as an option. It did not mean that much in the end, before, it happened during the First World War and during the Great Depression and actually there is no it was a test event, everything that evidence that the Prime Minister was might happen at the olympics and it was not the actual event that it motivated by an improper motive at should have been in the end so we all. The judges are also looking at that other ruling from scotland crossed the line together and which ruled it may be illegal. They enjoyed it. What was it like when they said they was a problem . The are looking at two different rulings . Thats right. This is a joint appealfrom rulings . Thats right. This is a joint appeal from cases and in the english and scottish courts. The team manager came up they said they was a problem . The team manager came up to us and he english and scottish courts. The English High Court said this matter had a face of shock. One of the cannot be ruled by the court. The girls crashed in the race and we thought, is she all right but then scottish court, by contrast, the he told us we had been disqualified. Highest civil court, said not only he did not want to say it. We were that the prorogation is disabled but so he did not want to say it. We were so confused. Other girls with speak unlawful and the reason they said thatis unlawful and the reason they said that is because it was motivated by to say we knew about the rules. When the Prime Minister wanting to you hear those stories about come roderick, someone who stops to help deprive parliament of the constitutional role that the law a friend, we love those stories on affords to it which is to be that, the outside and think they are human to legislate and scrutinise policy beings but it is completely wrong. What you have to do in your role as ata time races is do whatever you have to do to legislate and scrutinise policy at a time like this one when the government is acting against a to get there first. There is a ticking clock. I understand you are difference between how we see absolutely fascinated by all of this. First of all, so many people things. There are races where you are watching on line. The supreme can afford to just enjoy the moment court has never seen interest like this, presumably . I cannot remember with the people you train with. We we re with the people you train with. We were there together for two weeks before the race, training and a case having this much attention. Getting ready so it wasnt right to maybe the first case taken by gina enjoy the moment. If it was an Olympic Games that make i would miller but i think in a way it is not surprising because we were all not. You mentioned the olympics. Glued to this incredible qualifications are coming up and you constitutional confrontation between to our very much in the running. How the government and the parliament, much does that play in your mind . Chiefly over brexit which was taking people keep asking but ijust carry place in the house of commons across the square. 0bviously place in the house of commons across the square. Obviously the house of commons is now prorogued so it has on as we. It is what it is. If we moved to the Supreme Court and get selected great if we dont we essentially the battle is still going on. We saw people outside on will be fuming. No, we dont. I put it out of my mind. No, not both sides also engaging in a really. We have these races that we protest a nd both sides also engaging in a have to do but the way we approach protest and shouting at each other as well and that is set to continue, them does not change. Whether it is iimagine . As well and that is set to continue, i imagine . Yes, i have never seen a local race or an olympic ratio the outside of the Supreme Court as lively and boisterous and with as approach at the same way. But you much unusual fancy dress as it was said conditions were really tough so next year is going to be tough. We yesterday. And i imagine some of do prepare for the heat aspect and that will continue today. I think it just reflects the significance of concentrate on fitness. There is no theissues more you can really give because i just reflects the significance of the issues that is attracting such am already giving everything i have vigorous protest and discussion. God. We will get back to leeds. You remind me when they will be ruling on this . We do not know. The have a couple of races to do, georgia. I bet you are not resting . Earliest could be the end of this lam going georgia. I bet you are not resting . I am going on a holiday as well. Week. Thursday night or friday. Critics say the Prime Minister was trying to stop scrutiny from mps in the run up to brexit on 31st october. Were joined now by our legal correspondent, clive coleman. Clive, lots of legal arguments heard yesterday from both different sides, what will happen today . Well, more of it and quite similar stuff. Yesterday we heard these appeals from both parties. Today we will hear from the parties that won the original cases and are responding. We will hear from lawyers representing joanna cherry, the snp mp and 70 other parliamentarians who won that case in scotland when it was ruled that prorogation was a matter that courts could deal with and that the Prime Minister had acted unlawfully in inviting the queen to prorogue for five weeks. And we will hear from lawyers who won the case at the high court in london. That case ruled that prorogation was a matter of high quality and politics, essentially political and not a matter that the court should get involved with. So, these are separate appeals but the issues are similar and today we will get the response to the people who have brought the appeals. So much of this is unprecedented, not least the interest in what is going on at the Supreme Court. Something like 20,000 people watching each month, but there were a Million People yesterday and many outside. What do you make of the intense interest here . It is phenomenal, but we must remember that this is an appeal case in which a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom stands accused of misleading the monarch and undermining the sovereign body in our constitution, parliament, so they were very strong opinions on both sides, and many feel that the Prime Minister has undermined parliamentary sovereignty on the one hand. On the other hand, people think that the referendum was the people speaking and that must be respected and that the court should keep out and we should get on with brexit. So no surprise we have seen demonstrations outside court and a massive interest in watching proceedings inside court. And it will be more coverage on bbc news, thank you for that, clive coleman. Eu officials will debate the state of the brexit talks later today. Meps will discuss the impact of a no deal, brexit and the possibility of accepting another extension to the deadline. Baked beans are a staple food found in many british cupboards but did you know the actual beans cant be grown in the uk . Yes, the haricot beans have to be imported, but now after several years of research by the university of warwick, that could all be about to change. Heres David Gregory kumar. This is something very new. After seven years of research, the first full sized harvest of a brand new bean crop, bringing the dream of a british baked bean even closer. The aim, to produce a fully british baked bean because, at the moment, the actual beans are not grown in this country. A commercial company is now trialling one of the varieties developed here to see how it grows and how it behaves when it is canned. The fully british baked bean is closer than ever. But today the aim is to show that these beans can be grown in this country and successfully harvested with Standard Farm equipment, like this combine harvester. They go through the combine very well and comes out very clean, as you can see from some of the samples, so, yeah, i think it has a real future to be perfectly honest, and we will probably grow it on our own farm. Time for a taste test. An hours soak and then 15 minutes cooking. Thats really good. We do have a commercial partner that is looking at how well these beans will actually serve in a can, but were looking at trying to produce beans for other types of food. There is only so many tins of beans the uk can eat. They are aiming to harvest three tons of beans from this field. Keep your eyes peeled for very british beans in dips, chilly and, yes, even baked. David gregory kumar, bbc news, wellesbourne. Its 8 10am. Good morning. Theres lots of advice out there on how to help children stay safe online, but a new app being launched by the bbc is encouraging young people to stop and think before they hit send or post material. Own it uses Artificial Intelligence to flag up certain keywords when children start typing. It then offers them advice or support, especially if theyre about to share personal details or send an upsetting message. Lets hear a bit more about it. Hey, welcome to the own it app. Are you ready to get started . I love my phone, i use it for all types of things. Going on social media, listening to music, chatting to my mates. And with so much going on, its so hard to stay controlled and stay chilled. But thats where the own it app comes in. We all get a bit stressed sometimes. But the own it app helps me to slow down. Pause for a minute, and keep it all together. And its going to help you, too. Im always there for my friends when they need advice, but sometimes i need a little bit of help myself. We all do. The own it app is full of great advice and is always there when i need it. How do you take care of yourself and stay positive . I find that writing down how im feeling and why can really help me understand things better. And i can do that on the own it app. Theres loads of fun things to do on here and the more you use the app, the more youll find. There are videos. Quizzes, gifs. And memes. There is everything you need to be your best self online. You are nearly there, just a few things you need to set up and youre good to go. Alice webb, the director of bbc childrens and education is with us, as well dionne and her daughter taliyah, whove been trying the app out. Taliyah, whove been will come to you too in a min alice, i will come to you too in a minute. Alice, what is the idea behind this . To help children help themselves . Yes, nine years of age is the average age that a child first gets average age that a child first gets a smartphone in the uk and we want children to be safe online and the app is there to help them to take their first steps app is there to help them to take theirfirst steps on app is there to help them to take their first steps on the internet and to make sure that they have lots of advice. It is like stabilisers on a bike. So that they do not things n so a bike. So that they do not things so that they do not do things online that they would not do in real life. So it has advice on content but the neat thing is that it does not wait for a child to send a message and then think, i really did not want to do that, it gives them a nudge before they have even sent it and suggest to them, do you think that is a good idea and safe to share, that type of thing. What might trigger that response . Give us an example. If might trigger that response . Give us an example. If i was going to share my phone number, i would type it in and say that my number as such and such, and the app would say, is this safe, should i do this . Or maybe i write a message that i have typed off in haste and it sounds a little bit mean and it might tell me. M is recognising individual words then . Yes, that is where the Machine Learning comes in and it starts to understand how you use the language and gives you a little bit of a nudge. And all the research we have done with people like taliyah and we have done testing with kids and designing, it does not stop them sending it but it gives them a nudge and give them the opportunity to think i really did not want to say that. Dionne and taliyah you are the most important people here. You have recently made the decision to get a phone. Talk us through that. Yes, we put it off for a while but our friends had won and we thought it was best to get her one. So she got one for her eighth birthday. She does not actively use it all the time but she has a group friend chat and she uses it for videos and youtube and things like that. and she uses it for videos and youtube and things like that. I know you have both had a chance to look at the app, what did you think of it, taliyah . Very good, quite funny. I have not watched the videos yet but i am hoping to. What do you worry about in connection with m essa g es worry about in connection with messages or things people might send to you . What are your concerns about that . Like, i would to you . What are your concerns about that . Like, iwould try to you . What are your concerns about that . Like, i would try to help them get the own it app but not send it to anyone else. Have you ever received anything mean or nasty, not yet . Not yet. Lets hope that doesnt happen. But it is a real worry for parents. Yes, especially when they are all talking together, you do not know if someone will Say Something nasty will stop if they have had a group chat and the conversation the night before and someone has fallen out, it is quite a lot to go to school the next day without worry. Yes, and also trying to get to sleep. It helps you understand how people are feeling as well, isnt that correct . Yes, thats right. We have all spent too long looking at other peoples feeds on social media and you then start to think about your own life. What this app does is it asks children to re cord this app does is it asks children to record how they are feeling every now and again and it makes a connection between what you are doing on your phone and suggesting ideas. For example, if doing on your phone and suggesting ideas. For example, if i had been using my phone late into the night, lam tired, using my phone late into the night, i am tired, it will start to make me nudges and suggest howl i am tired, it will start to make me nudges and suggest how i can have a great night sleep, how to put my phone away before i go to bed. And all of the things that might be troubling you, it is there to try to promote a great conversation between the child and the parent or a trusted adult. It is not about trying to replace any of that, it is just about trying to set up a really healthy relationship with the phone in the first few months when they get that smartphone. Taliyah, do you think that sometimes young people use their phones too much . Yes, definitely. Like what, what makes you say that . They send a text message, they get it back and then they start this whole conversation that does not need to be happening. And you could spend ages doing that, couldnt you . And you could spend ages doing that, couldnt you . You can always stop and wait until tomorrow, you can use it again. It does not matter if you are behind on text messages. If it doesnt matter and you just look at it and it creates a whole new conversation, it could be going on for hours and hours and there is no point. Well, these are wise words. It is kind of a learning process both ways. That is the message to get across. Yes, and as i said, we developed this with so many children and their feedback has been built in. They are very clear about the great things about being online and the less great things about that and what we have tried to do with the own it app is to be positive and help children eliminate the negative. Some parents might want to know exactly what is being said, but the app does not give them access to that, does it . No, it is completely private to the child. The data of the child remains on the phone, it doesnt go anywhere. It is not being uploaded. It does not report to the parent, this is not about parental monitoring. There are lots of Safety Devices out there, this is not to replace them, this is about giving the child personal support. And one of the things they have reported on the testing is that opportunityjust to have a place where they can see how they are feeling. Which is just for them, think of it like a diary, they really value that. for them, think of it like a diary, they really value that. I think we have got quite a proud mother on the sofa this morning. I get that impression. Yes, very proud. It is good, i thought at first it was for me to monitor her but i then realised it was prompting taliyah to make the right decision. I guess thatis make the right decision. I guess that is what we used to have when we we re young, we that is what we used to have when we were young, we have rules and things like that. Some people follow them, some people did not. I guess it is picking out the children that will ta ke picking out the children that will take the proms and they will think, i will not send out. That was the question facing the former fishing town of fleetwood in lancashire where lifestyle choices and illness meant people were dying younger than the national average. Three years ago a local gp began to lead efforts to turn things around, and as our Health Correspondent Dominic Hughes has been finding out, there are encouraging signs of improvement. Fighting fit, or at least heading that way. A boxing class originally set up for those battling addiction. Go people like chris, who was forced to reappraise his life after being admitted to hospital. I was locked away in my house, drinking, not doing a lot, smoking too much. Never sober. I would be back in hospital for another session with high Blood Pressure and then again and again until finally, it got me. Chris was lucky. A conversation with a specialist alcohol nurse helped him turn things around. But in fleetwood, the problems chris faced were not unusual. A form fishing town where unemployment, poverty and a lack of opportunity have played havoc with peoples health. This is a town where for years, people have struggled with the effects of ill health and may be dying sooner than other, more affluent parts of United Kingdom. So, three years ago, efforts were guided to try and improve the health of this entire community, and there are early signs that things might just be Getting Better. Life wasjust it wasnt good, for me. Ive been through a lot. In the face of crippling anxiety, michaela struggled. Through the healthy fleetwood initiative, designed to give people more control over their wellbeing, she is being prescribed this art therapy class, which is helping her rely less on the nhs. So your relationship with the gp surgery and your gp has changed, then . It has changed dramatically, yeah. Now it just boosts my confidence. And to me, i think thats the medicine thats medicine. And it isntjust michaela, there has been a significant reduction in the number of fleetwood residents turning up at the local a e or going to emergency. We want people to live well with long term conditions, not just survive with them. So giving them that agency and ability to take control of their own lives is a good thing in and of itself. And here is a powerful symbol of change. The beds have been left on the ground floor. The right in the centre of town, the local cottage hospital, closed up and decaying for years, has been given a new lease of life. Various organisations in fleetwood are trying to Work Together as one unified approach, this will be a great place to access headquarters from here out. Transforming the health of an entire community is not easy. There is still a long way to go. But whats happening in fleetwood holds lessons for all those communities across the uk that face similar problems. Dominic hughes, bbc news, fleetwood. Youre watching breakfast from bbc news. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. We had quite an autumnal feel this morning. Temperatures got down to fairly low single figures this morning. We had a temperatures low as one or two celsius in parts of southern england. But High Pressure is in charge of the weather at the moment. This warm front across the north, thats bringing some outbreaks of rain in the north of scotland, but really for most of us, its dry and there will be a bit of cloud drifting its way southward into northern england, but even that cloud will break up and there will be some sunny spells. Plenty of sunshine the further south you go. Top temperatures today getting to around about 15 19 degrees. Through tonight, the rain will continue just to ease off a little bit. May still stay a little bit drizzly in the northern isles. Thicker cloud in the north west. Thatll keep temperatures up in double figures. Elsewhere, though, therell be some clear skies. One or two mist and fog patches forming into tomorrow morning. A few more of those compared to today, and temperatures, well, down to about a 6 degrees, so again, another chilly start. Any mist and fog will clear quite readily, and then for much of the uk, its a case of more dry and sunny weather. The cloud always thickest again towards the north and north west of scotland. Temperatures here 15 17 degrees. Further south, well see those temperatures getting up into the 20s. Into that weekend, High Pressure is going to gradually move its way eastward. As it does so, we start to draw in more of a south or south easterly wind, and thatll just bring temperatures up even further as we go into saturday. But for friday morning, again, one or two mist and fog patches, those clearing. More sunshine to come. Temperatures again quite widely getting up at the high teens to the low 20s. And those temperatures even higher on saturday, we could reach 26 celsius in the south east during saturday, but there will be a change for sunday. Cloud and rain moving its way in from the west, and those temperatures coming down a touch. Bye bye. This is business live from bbc news with Tadhg Enright and sally bundock. Interest in the fed.
