Journalist Md Nahid Hasan was assaulted by a group of 20 to 25 people while covering a clash involving members of a youth and student organisation associated with the ruling Bangladesh Awami League on November 20. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) condemns the attack against the journalist and calls on authorities to hold those responsible to account and ensure the safety of working journalists.
