Australians on the east coast are in for almost a week of miserable weather with severe rainfall on its way - but the sun will briefly come out over the weekend. New South Wales and south Queensland residents are being warned to prepare for heavy thunderstorms in the coming week, having already been battered by rain on Thursday. Those in NSW will get a short reprieve on Saturday to soak up the sun with temperatures set to reach 32C. But this isn't expected to last with Sydneysiders looking at a wet Sunday with a 90 per cent chance of rain and thunderstorms.
