OXFORD â With Memorial Day past, summer is slowly advancing on the horizon. Meanwhile at the Oxford Farmers Market, we are anticipating the arrival of the summer veggies. Since everything we sell is either homemade or homegrown by our vendors, you know exactly where everything is coming from. Market hours are every Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon.
Veggies are so healthy for us, especially the green leafy ones. They contain Vitamin D, and a lot of antioxidants that our bodies need. These antioxidants help fight off disease and infections. We will have plenty of these for you this week.
Our veggie lineup includes kale, spinach, collards, turnip salad, mustard, lettuce, spring onions, radishes, new potatoes and a variety of herbs. Robert Tingen Jr. will have pasture-raised beef for your weekend meals.
