Aspirants for CJ Peralta's post known on Friday, Feb. 26 &#x

On Friday, Feb. 26, the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) is expected to announce the aspirants to Peralta’s post, including who among the five most senior Supreme Court (SC) justices accepted his or her nomination.
Under the rules, the five most senior justices are automatically nominated to the post of Chief Justice.  However, once nominated they have to accept their nominations.
 The five associate justices, in the order of seniority, are Estela M. Perlas Bernabe, Marvic Mario Victor F. Leonen, Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa, Alexander G. Gesmundo, and Ramon Paul L. Hernando.
