Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival has announced that acclaimed filmmaker Anjali Menon is joining the MAMI Board of Trustees.MAMI is helmed by its board of trustees, which comprises personalities like Nita M. Ambani, Anupama Chopra, Ajay Bijli, Anand G. Mahindra, Farhan Akhtar, Isha Ambani, Kabir Khan, Kaustubh Dhavse, Kiran Rao, Rana Daggubati, Riteish Deshmukh, Rohan Sippy, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vishal Bhardwaj, Zoya Akhtar and Smriti Kiran (Artistic Director).This year, actor and producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined as MAMIs new Chairperson and among the new inductees is Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, the award-winning filmmaker and archivist who made Celluloid Man on P.K. Nair.Anjali Menon has previously been on the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival Jury for the Oxfam Best Film on Gender Equality Award 2018.“Through their programming and Dial M For Films, MAMI has been putting the much-deserved spotlight on regional films. Further, socially conscious interventions like the Gender Equality Award make me excited to be part of the MAMI journey.
