AMC ASX: Packaging giant Amcor, which operates more than 200 factories around the world, has cut 2,000 jobs in a cost-cutting blitz to try to offset a slide in sales as consumers cut back on soft drinks and meat.

The world’s largest consumer packaging group has axed 5 per cent of its workforce and is not expecting any rebound in spending on soft drinks and meat by shoppers.
