Fighting is going to start in the coming days in that province. Won they control the south, its going to be massive. Then the government is going to return, they will set up ministries, establish a base from where they can continue to fight to control the capital. Is trying to convince the houthis that you are losing on the ground. You better have a political facesaving deal with the government. Protesters in japan have gathered outside a Nuclear Plant as it restarts for the First Time Since the fukushima disaster in 2011. The sendai reactor is the first to Begin Operating under new safety rules. It marks japans return to Nuclear Energy after the 2011 meltdown at the fukushima power plant triggered by an earthquake and resulting tsunami. Harry is live in tokyo. Safety standards have been improved since fukushima. Why are so many people saying this isnt good enough . Well, that is the question. The Nuclear Regulation authority, saying it could not give any kind of absolute guarantee of safety, says that the various systems have been put if place in particular in sesendai but the way they have o meet much higher bars in the days before fukushima, means there could not be a repeat of the scale of the disaster we saw after the march 2011 tsunami that caused that triple meltdown. The people in sendai, the far south. Southern main island of japan, when we went down there, there is a split opinion. The chamber of commerce was keen to get this very important local industry back online. But there is also concern there among residents about the evacuation plan, for instance, that is the responsibility of the local government. A lot say that should be the responsibility of tokyo or the Power Company itself, that would give them more accountability and, therefore, more faith in the system. And more broadly, on a national scale, about 60 of japanese people are against this plan to restart reactors despite the continued arguments from the Prime Minister which hes been making since he came to office in 2012 reversing the policy of the previous government, saying its vital for japans economy. Does japan have any other Energy Sources apart from nuclear and the coal that its been importing in since the power plants were shut down . What else does it have locally . Well, it has geothermal energy, it has increasing amounts of solar power. Theres been a high tariff given to independent solar producers since fukushima in an attempt to get more renewable energy. Theres been criticism of that plan as well because the Big Power Companies arent keen to adjust their systems to free up the bottleneck to get them on to the grid. The more power they provide, the less the big providers provide. There is lng, liquefied natural gas, which is being brought into the country. The key thing is that nuclear was an extremely big chunk of the power sector before fukushima. It was 30 . The plan is to get it up to 20 . In the meantime, that shortfall has been born by imports of fossil fuel. Thats been become cheaper since the crash in the price of oil that we have seen this year. But still, its been a huge cost on japanese industry and japanese households. With all of that though, still, the government hasnt been able to convince the public that its right to go back to Nuclear Power with fukushima still very present in their minds. Okay. Thank you very much. In the u. S. State of colorado, a state of emergency has been declared. More than 11 million liters of toxic sludge was released into local streams.
