You know its certainly difficult to say but given the fact that. Joe biden has clearly won enough states to kind of be on the cusp of victory donald trump would not only need to win legal challenge in one or 2 states but in virtually all of the remaining states in which he is now behind in the vote count to prevail and so its not just a matter of winning one or 2 but winning multiple legal challenges in multiple states with multiple. Different legal rules at stake so i think his chances of prevailing if the vote counts turnout as we expect them to are quite slim in terms of winning the election but i think his prospects of undermining the political position of the Incoming Democratic administration and making it more difficult for joe biden to govern a divided country i think are quite good and if we are looking at where were still counting votes there are still not clear who has won this election yet but if joe biden does prevail but you are seeing this undermining of a potential joe biden presidency where does this leave the United States i mean are they looking at complete death look for the next 4 years i mean what kind of impact is this going to have more broadly Going Forward. Theres a half century trend of rolling growing partisan polarization of republicans and democrats becoming more ideologically separated and more socially separated from one another and the events of the last 4 years including the election are sort of an exclamation point at the end of that process and i think joe biden if he does win the election faces a very difficult task in trying to lead this deeply divided country there are some opportunities to find Common Ground with republicans for addressing the economic problems in the country because of the pandemic thats well its addressing the pandemic itself there might be opportunities to compromise on reporting the process for nominating and confirming federal judges.
