And on time the hamas now have all the sporting puting some of the worlds best moto g. P. Right this hour getting ready for the sports at the virtual race were their actual season on hold because of a global plan that. Spains death toll from the coronavirus pandemic has surged once again the latest figures show 838 people died in the past 24 hours which is the countrys worst day so far all told it means were looking at more than 6 and a half 1000 deaths in spain since the start of the outbreak nearly 79000 and sections this means we. Looking at the 2nd worst affected nation after italy where more than 10000 people i did in china there is a warning of a possible 2nd wave of corona virus infections its reported more than 300 new cases in the past week and says crucially most of them came in from overseas meanwhile and will harm the site of the original outbreak restrictions are being lifted in say public transport even been opened up again and people will even be allowed to leave the city on the 8th of april meanwhile in the United States the numbers are more than 124000 people now testing positive 2102100 deaths and the c. D. C. The centers for Disease Control is urging residents of new York New Jersey and connecticut to avoid all nonessential travel for the next 14 days 2 correspondents with us on the news sarah clarke in hong kong will be with you shortly to talk through the china side of things and rest of asia on the start though with martha hereto. In madrid it was only yesterday matter it was talking to you and we were talking about more than 800 deaths it is staggering to think that this many people every day are dying. Yes as you said the worst 24 hours since the coronavirus korea crisis began here in spain with 838 new big teams we had to reach 79000. Cases of call it 19 and we still have madrid. The center of the whole thing to me with at least 50 percent of the people that get told here in madrid and coming behind got a ling up but behind with only 1002 hand it youre obviously reporting from home there are there more restrictions coming in place for people in madrid and across spain. Yes better scientists announced yesterday that he suspends all non essential work and Economic Activities for the next 2 weeks this means starting tomorrow monday 30 march 30th and april 9th the sir period of time. Compressed comprehends their Easter Easter holidays they want to prevent all people going not brought over trying to go to the calls or to the 2nd homes so they just want to make sure the love down the starter and all these people cannot move around and stay at home. So there for a 2nd for me because i want to talk to you about the wider picture in europe but maybe well have a little listen to what the spanish Prime Minister has been saying 1st i thought it was but he says no be there for them because it affects all countries and it does not obey borders and does not distinguish between past economic policies made by one country or another which then the response count only be national in most big European Response it has to be a response where we all rows of one remember whether we are dutch spanish or portuguese italian or german but it has to be a European Response and so multiple address sanchez wants unity in the European Union over this is there a question mark over there not being enough help coming in from the European Union for spain yes this was this was one of the main points yesterday when he addressed the nation that her son to want europe to move to our war economy and he keeps claiming and repeating he wants a Marshall Plan against coronavirus the european east summit that took place on thursday didnt deliver any concrete measures so we will have to wait until the new summit in 2 weeks time so we were looking at some pictures just a moment ago i think there were live pictures of van and i swing can actually in in madrid this is being used as a makeshift morgue is that right. Yes yes because as weve been talking to during this week the Municipal Pier no hole was all that well and they had to set up these ice wind that was used for a sports event just to keep all the corpse of all the people that have died that it couldnt be taken to the funeral home so they built these things ice rink so they could keep the course there but these i think has. Been over 12. 00 so maybe this week was the end of the building one missile building that was just and just seemed to be a court a court room that might be set up as a funeral home to extraordinary situation to herrera thank you for bringing us up to date with what is happening in spain now were off to hong kong here is sarah clarke to take us through 1st of all china which i mentioned earlier this concern about a 2nd wave but from external infections overseas infections. Yes china on sunday is reporting a rise in the number of cases and as you mentioned this is a surge in the importation of the viruses that these are the travelers coming back into china travelers from abroad the government has as a result raised the possibility of a 2nd wave of infections hitting the country not Chinas Health authority says the countrys recorded and a cumulative total of 693 cases entering from overseas and this figure suggests that this particular new rather infections is a real possibility so this is certainly become the new battleground for china as they try and stop the infection spreading within china on sunday they had 45 new cases and 5 deaths were reported in who by province but 44 of the 45 cases were important infections or travels again coming in from abroad china as a result has put in place some pretty heavy restrictions on far as they banned the entry of all foreigners trying to enter the country even those people with a visas or permanent residency status they will not be allowed to enter there are some exemptions and that includes flight crew and diplomatic staff and some people employees humanitarian assignments and they might also apply for exemption the chinese and Foreign Airlines theyve also been restricted with regards to the number of flights they can have to china wait theyve been allowed one and those particular aircraft are only allowed 75 percent capacity on the planes and now there is some good news as you mentioned earlier we have the lights of the will hand at the center of the crowd of ours out right it is partly opening reopening its been locked down for about 2 months now weve seen 260 trains inbound trains into hand on saturday and we had about 60000 people returned to that city so certainly some good news there in the 4 lockdown will be lifted on i pull out then thats of course when the airport will also reopen sara take me around the rest of asia who are where the headlines are was an interesting one a source in japan where the headlines say a Record Number of infections for any one day but it was only and i use that term loosely only around 6568 or Something Like that. 68 new cases and theyre all from tokyo but as you mention this is the highest daily record for japan ill take you around the region thailand also reported 143 new cases and one death so the total death toll there of crowd of us cases is 7. 13 infections now thailand has declared a state of emergency last wakin as a result it also has banned foreigners from entering its identified picket as one of the hotbeds of the crime of us of the surge of corona virus infections over the last week and its blaming residents and tourists for not applying the social distancing rules south korea it has 105 new cases reported on sunday its also put in place a 2 a quarantine for all travelers arriving into that country and that will start on wednesday i pull 1st malaysia has also released they dislike this figure is 150. 00 new cases on sunday the total now is about 2470. 00 and the philippines theyve got 343. 00 additional cases but theyve also reported 3 new deaths due to the crown of virus infection and we also have a number of countries across asia on sunday this weekend starting to close their borders me and mine and cambodia theyve temporarily suspended the issuing of tourist visas for foreigners as they enter so this particular strategy is being mirrored across the region as these countries try and stop the surge of imported cases of the coronavirus into the countries with the update from across asia sir thank you for that we move now to the United States as we mentioned earlier the highest number of infections in the world is there upwards of 120000 rob reynolds now with the latest on whats happening there. A day of president ial nicks signal attending the sailing of a Navy Hospital ship bound for manhattan President Donald Trump said he might impose a quarantine a new york and neighboring states are now considering make a decision very quickly version. A quarantine because its such a hot area of new York New Jersey and connecticut will be announcing that one way or the other fairly soon trump said he had discussed the idea with new York Governor Andrew Cuomo cuomo said he didnt know what trump was talking about computer cord if you have any indication thats a possibility for me in new york or no its going to happen has this conversation i dont even know what that means later on saturday trump put out a tweet backing away from the quarantine plan and saying i have asked the centers for Disease Control to issue a strong travel advisory to be administered by the governors in consultation with the federal government a quarantine will not be necessary. Houran jeanne or not new york is in during dark times nurses protested outside a bronx hospital saying they havent got enough protective equipment are incredibly frustrated and we know that the federal government can give us these resources are grown a virus has killed more than 500 people in new york and infected tens of thousands all across the country more states are ordering people to stay home including in rhode island i am issuing a stay at home order for all people in rhode island the order will be in place from right now until april 13th and in kansas inza still has not received word what we need from the federal government this is used in texas and its part of the new face of america deserted streets parking lots and public spaces part of a country under siege. Reporting a lot there on whats going on in new york in the northeast he has since sent us an update on whats happening across other states in the u. S. The situation is not good side of new york in fact all across the country were c rising levels of death and rising numbers of confirmed cases this was in fact the deadliest day in us in the us during the pandemic so far with nearly 250 deaths recorded there are out bricks in places like detroit and here in california where the governor and the mayor of los angeles say that los angeles will be where new york is now in a matter of perhaps 2 or 3 weeks chicago is being affected philadelphia is being affected new orleans is being very badly affected the number of confirmed cases there doubled over the past couple of days one of the lawmakers from the state of louisiana where new orleans is the largest city said that the beds would that hospitals will run out of ventilators respiratory equipment by thursday of next week and so in general this is spreading very rapidly all across the country as you heard in the report more and more states are declaring stay at all orders telling their people to just stay indoors all the parks here in los angeles have been closed the beaches the parking lots of the beaches of been closed people are being told not to go out very far from home so it is a country shutting down and doing so rapidly with an unknown view towards whats going to happen next. Coronavirus pandemic coverage on the news hour continues in a moment. Including why this Science Fiction series from south korea has suddenly become a huge hit. Or. It will be. Thats love the love in the time of coronavirus were looking at whats being done in the u. S. To help reduce the risks for the elderly. And in sport one of footballs highest paid players ronaldo is doing his bit to help out his team. Now the israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main rival benny gantz say they have made significant progress towards forming a unity government the deal is being made to address the corona Virus Outbreak the 2 held a meeting overnight on saturday saying they would meet again the following day to finalize an agreement after months of failed elections and political deadlock. In west jerusalem with more on this one hi harry its amazing what a crisis will do isnt it splitting stalemate for so long and suddenly we could have a unity government. Thats right after 3 inconclusive elections all these failed attempts over the course of nearly a year now to try to form a government to think essentially change as you say the coronavirus emergency is very much up and running in this country that is biggest treat 1800 cases 13 deaths and linked to the as been against his decision having really made his entire political brand about the necessity of dispensing with Benjamin Netanyahu someone he said was an indicted Prime Minister facing a Corruption Case trikes which. Had to be replaced by someone stable what we obviously like that he got guns on thursday reversed all that saying it was time instead of splits statesmanship and patriotism and through the course of long negotiations through the night last night the 2 men do seem pretty close now to forming a unity government they say they will be meeting again on sunday with the aim of announcing that unity government there are still a few things to settle some ministerial posts to settle and also reportedly the idea of putting legislation in place to allow Benjamin Netanyahu to continue to serve in government even after according to the reports of this deal he resigns his Prime Ministerial closed after 18 months allowing Benjamin Benny gantz to take over at the moment is ready law forbids any minister under indictment from a Holding Office it seems there may well be work to try to put legislation in changing that to allow netanyahu even after this initial term to still serve in some capacity carrying that to ation thank you very full set in western resulin. Latest numbers from iran now 123. 00 people have died there in the last 24 hours that brings the National Total to more than 2600. 00 officials have now committed a 5th of the National Budget to finding the virus there have been more than 35000 confirmed cases in iran which has by those figures one of the worst mortality rates in the world. Doctors without borders has warned refugees on the greek island of les pauls are at a great risk of coronavirus and they need to be moved immediately in a statement the Charity Group said the overcrowded and horrific Living Conditions in the camps or hotspots on the greek islands provide the perfect storm for a coded 19 break given the lack of adequate Sanitation Services and the severely limited medical care the risk of the virus spreading amongst inhabitants of the camps in greece is extremely high once they have been exposed they have a closer look now at the situation in greece through the numbers nearly 5000 refugees in the country most of them on the mainland and on the islands of lets pass costs more sunless and let us the u. N. Says more than 9000 Asylum Seekers arrive by land and sea this year alone many of them as we know fled war in instability in the middle east africa and asia places like syria afghanistan iraq and the sea lets boss island is the biggest entry point for migrants in the agency with more than 20000 arriving there since 2016 John Psaropoulos now reports on why the conditions are quite so bad on the island. Like thousands of other Asylum Seekers this resident of moriah camp is lighting a fire to warm himself and cook lunch and like thousands of others hes using a piece of plastic to start it fires are the only source of heat in winter aid groups say they cause serious respiratory problems and the burning of plastic makes them even more dangerous one of the asthmatic patients the father explained to me that one night he came back home they were heating the tent with the hold coals inside and when he arrived back none of his family members. Were it was unable to wake them. And yet to drive them outside they slowly recovered so most probably this was like a Carbon Monoxide poisoning its easy to burn rubbish because it isnt being collected a local contractor is paid to pick it up inside the official camp and to a radius of 10 meters outside the camp fence but within that space we found this ravine filled with it greases Reception Service is responsible for awarding sanitation contracts a former director says governments dont properly oversee contractors. A great public worker whos moved from the mainland works for 475 euros and sleeps in the same conditions as a refugee stands in stark contrast to an ingenious sanitation worker in athens who earns 1500 euros a month this inequality explains why the final result and sanitation isnt what with light. Raw sewage also seeps into this ravine where Children Play because at 20000 people this camp is filled to 7 times capacity and its sewage pipe overflows a pipe designed years before it was built thanks clearly the delay in building the sewage pipe was to extend the use of the sewage trucks which cost huge amounts in my view over 4000000 euros and moria and the other islands that money could have been spent on Sewage Treatment plants they didnt happen and why not because they were interests against it ive sent this to the list prosecutor. The government says it will take 10000 Asylum Seekers off the islands and ship them to the mainland in the coming weeks another 5000 will be offered a generous financial incentive to go home and the European Union says it will take at least 1600 unaccompanied minors off greeces hands reducing the numbers might be a short Term Solution but it does not address the deeper problem of mismanagement or relieve greek taxpayers of the bills the European Union may refuse to pay as a result jobs are open last aljazeera less force. It to the americans now measures to contain the pandemic and making life more difficult for them as whalens already facing shortages fuel is so scarce that people are queuing for hours at petrol stations and the military has been brought in to maintain order the Health Care System has also been hit hard a pandemic also threatens direct the worlds most cash cash strapped countries argentina for example where 2 years of recession resulted in an Unemployment Rate of almost 10 percent which is now expected to rise significantly teresa but with the support from buenos aires. The streets of argentinas capital when a site is are empty these days after the government imposed a look down in the country but soup kitchens like this one cannot afford to shut down. Constanza says the amount of people coming year has doubled in the past few days and the local media people used to come here and sit down they could take a shower and spend some time things have changed but the amount of people coming has doubled many cant work and cant survive with the lock down and others live on the streets. Here argentinas economy was already struggling with recession and the possibility of default on its sovereign debt before fighting the covies 19 became a priority for this countrys government life is difficult for many in argentina his days as a rise of unemployment from poverty and the impact that the lockdown cost vive a corner virus is having and the economy for many coming to this place is the only chance they have to eat at least once a day job as it does you got me well you know yes but its not just the poor that i belong affected the most are going on silas works as a taxi driver in the city he says hes worried with the impact over 1000 could have in the country but hes unsure how he will survive if the lockdown continues hes 60 years old and this taxi is the only way he has of making a living. Or youre going to get the most big moment situation is very very serious i have to pay a rent and i cannot make any money im not sure what is going to happen we are authorized to be on the street but theres more people. Even though the lockdown is supposed to last until the end of the month the government might extended for a longer period it has also warned private creditors that argentinas economic recoveries uncertain and that its debt crisis could be prolonged due to the coronavirus pandemic. Economy minister monolingual man says the priority right now is. Assisting arjan time families with extra income to survive for the next few weeks. You cannot make activity is minimal because the lock down and this leaves a lot of people with anguish and desperation but we want to make sure that every person that lives in argentina is protected from the situation. Precedent for a man there says hes prioritizing saving lives over the Economic Situation those who need the governments help say its the only way bill survive in the weeks ahead. Really several. Days. As we know the virus has proven particularly dangerous for the elderly and for people with Underlying Health conditions like 80 percent of those who died from the illness in the u. S. Were 65 years or older and gallacher reports now on whats being done to help the most vulnerable of citizens who fall of the car. At a nursing home in alabama john klein serenades his wife through a window social distancing join the coronavirus pandemic is now vital for those at risk but when youve been married for 45 years contact is equally important could you read more of. Bob shallow id like many is separated from his wife a necessary but difficult time for elderly couples makes me feel bad because i i want her down with me. I know she cant the reality for seniors is frightening Health Officials say older adults are twice as likely to contract a serious illness from the virus than anyone else those that live in Long Term Care facilities are among the most vulnerable. For seniors living outside the Health Care System tasks as simple as buying food is risky many supermarkets are now operating what they call senior hours potentially lowering the health risks for those 60 and over we try and have the store spouse before they come in they are the target of this virus and so were trying to work for strong as a peer facilities like drive through test sites is slowly being set up but with an aging population the us faces worrying times as figures tick higher here in florida a quarter of the population is 60 or older making this state particularly vulnerable best testing is sporadic at worst nonexistent Health Care Providers say they want to test more but dont have the equipment so far there have been suspected or confirmed corona cases in 1900 elder care facilities a number that may get higher here waiting for you are close to the window while the authorities struggle others are doing what they can to support the Senior Community i did not expect and theyre just people way the internet was my only home find that you just dance like this in a circus saving for the elderly fear and isolation runs deep reaching out supporting and helping those most vulnerable to the pandemic has never been more important and a gallacher of his era miami florida. Evidence here with a look at the weather now clocks went forward in europe didnt they so that should mean spring and warmer temperatures coming that silly yeah youd expect the warm spring sunshine come out of theres been a bit of that ahead of the clock change now its happened because those temperatures on the on the on the full actually what they would like if you look at the satellite picture you can see its largely clear skies bits and pieces just around that northwestern corner big area of High Pressure on area of High Pressure just to the northwest of the u. K. But around High Pressure the winds travel in a clockwise direction so cold direction northerly winds and across into central parts which will cease on this blue line thats where the cooler air is see how the ice a possible lined up seeing the winds coming in from the north a much cooler air coming in over the next couple days theres that want to talk about tomorrow made chains there for moscow for kiev for fianna as we go on through the next couple days just watch how that changes moscow one celsius as we go on a monday single figures across many past 5 degrees as we go on into the middle part of the week of minus 3 the top temperatures there in moscow not a whole lot better as we go on into wednesday so the cooler certainly in the process of winning out but there is a lot of sunshine around us about the only consolation i can offer some places the state in the snow on this weather system as it makes its way further south was some heavy snow coming across the alps youll notice as you go on through the next couple of days that will push down into the balkans and theres that sunshine pushing in behind kemal dervis and thank you for that more weather with evan in our next news hour but still ahead on this one how children and adults with special needs a coping with the coronavirus lockdowns around the world. And with most global sport holds its own bellerose the president is out on the ice. The christian priest you are. Friend of the palestinians is a true. Or. On the news on here at aljazeera with continuing coverage of the coronavirus pandemic spains death toll has surged once again more than 800 people dead in the past 24 hours and now means confuse me that more than 6500. 00 have died there in total infections have also risen to at least 79000. 00 confirmed cases chinas governments warned the number of new imported cases of covert 19 is raising the chances of a 2nd wave of infections supported more than 300 new cases in the past week mostly bourse in but people coming from abroad. And in the u. S. More than 124000 people have not tested positive for covert 19 in nearly 2200 have died residents of new york jersey and connecticut have all been told to avoid non essential travel for the next 14 days. Nearly a 1000000000 people around the world are now under some form of government restrictions but for many people with Something Like autism they depend on support so. This could be challenging they are children of adults with a wide range of learning behavioral and communication difficulties. For bartik work here in poland its not just about Financial Security but also his relationships with friends he has a sport a syndrome one of the conditions of whats known as the Autism Spectrum Disorder the new crew now virus pandemic and government Restrictions Mean hes not stuck at home away from friends and people he depends on hes struggling to cope with the fundamental changes to his life and actually about losing his job i says is so late my. Currently and it effects my life in many places i know. Most about my own. But. Which happened to me i know in the many questions which. Im hi everyone how well doing a tap from the u. K. Is autistic and 2 for 3 children are on the autism spectrum shes using video blogs and Live Streaming to help herself and other families cope with self isolation out the not my usual life has been changed and obviously as a parent autistic children im expected to be in a position where im staying calm and structuring their lives that but im still autistic so i have found that my anxiety levels been high and i think that the best ways to fight with that moment ought to try and find some kind of routine or schedule within the life that were now living so that you know what to expect from day. For those who depend on. Apart from doctors therapists and specialists teaches the closure of school and lockdowns of cities and towns is particularly destructive. Panic buying supermarkets has also affected those with specific food needs a distress around them can affect some of them deeply a lot of autistic people work on certainties. Things of farming theres a rumor that people can go to people. Who are quite a lot further we regrouped and we saw it was all so a lot of panic to the community is caused by people around us panicking expert see why most of the world is hunkering down the key for families with autistic children is to find ways to cope with c. N. N. And some families telling us that childrens react responses have been quite emotional and old high at levels of sensory seeking behavior that theyre seeing as well and im an all out all response to that has been to try to create a level of routine as governments around the world take unprecedented measures to protect Peoples Health and safety many are concerned about how a longer lock down will affect the lives of some of the most vulnerable though to see are. Very pleased to have donna dawson with us on skype now from london a psychologist who specializes in personality behavior and also is the grandmother of children with autism is a perfectly placed to talk to us about this donna i think the 1st thing we should point out is that there is no one thing that we can say is a person with autism obviously everyone has different needs different personality different behavior so why dont we go through some of them i mean part of me always thinks that for some people who prefer structure and certainty a lockdown could almost work for them they are in a confined area they know how it works and things could even be planned out more easily for them. Yes i have 3 grandchildren who are on varying degrees of the autism scale i have a 14 and a half year old whos living with me at the moment i have 11 year old and a 6 year old who are living with their mother about 2 miles away the 6 year old is nonverbal hes not toilet trained so that that is a difficult problem for my daughter i think the thing is with all 3 is that theyre used to coping with some degree of social isolation anyway so its not a big change for them as long as they have their parent straight carer with them their lives havent been totally disrupted i think whats disrupting is for the parent because we are now in close proximity with these children every day theyre not going to stay there special classrooms or school and we have that kind of full impact 247 so i think the main problem is for the the people who are dealing with it and i would consider myself in that group now mine 14 and a half year old loves to be on the computer so to him this is an extended holiday my problem is getting him off the computer getting him to do other things in the day such as chores homework and to give him some structure because this could just completely collapse into a continual holiday where hes on the computer all the time goes to bed late gets up late and does no exercise so im fighting this in trying to find strategies to cope with it and what sounds good when you describe it like that you mention him her a perk you mentioned homework. School work in general at the moment what about that because im guessing a lot of children would have extra needs which are seen at school and now theyre not necessarily getting that and they dont have the structure of a classroom and a set day of classes. Well my 14 year old is basically a t. H. D. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with a lower degree able to swim but he needs a one on one teacher to kind of keep him focused and help him to concentrate now he doesnt have that and i guess have now to take over that role so its a constant thing of reminding of giving him instructions before hand and repeating them continually because they dont stay with him and then remind him sit him down kind of oversee him but not too closely because he gets paranoid about me being on top of them making sure he keeps on task so that is difficult hes not in a setting now where you know more is expected of him because hes surrounded by the children who are doing the same thing and he has a teacher in the background with a helper as well he doesnt have that now so his whole structure has kind of disintegrated and its suddenly my task to keep it you know growing so so how youre doing donna and your daughter i dont know if anyones really are thinking about. Well you know im trying to find the positive in this and for me its its some degree of company its somebody i have to cook for and i have to have a routine for so that is good for me in a way it tests my patience so im learning how to be more patient and to try and keep myself calm and when things get too much i just retired to another room for a while or i go out into the garden or i walk around the block and because im able to do that still and so there are ways to deal with this but you know we are in this for the long haul so ive got to keep working on him to try and change him a bit and i have to work on myself as well so its a 2 way process done adults and youve been so candid and open with us and we really do appreciate that thank you for your time youre welcome. Right news from here in qatar which has recorded its 1st coronavirus related death the Health Health Ministry Says the expansion it worker from bangladesh was 57 years old and did have other Health Conditions 28 more infections were confirmed on saturday bringing the total to nearly 600. 00 caught there has closed all nonessential businesses and is only allowing its citizens its own citizens to enter the country and a diplomatic dispute in the gulf is adding pressure on some people stranded in the region that is the case for 31 behind the citizens who arrived in tow on a cot or always flight from iran however the government has refused as efforts to repatriate the group remember behind one of 4 countries which is imposing a land air and sea blockade on qatar since june of 2017 times look to some other news around the world and polls have opened in malis long delayed parliamentary election despite concerns about security and of course the Global Pandemic the vote comes just hours after the 1st death from covert 19 was announced this election delayed several times because of violence by armed groups also government kidnapped the Opposition Leader. On wednesday Nicholas Hock is in dakar in neighboring senegal how nicolas does an election go ahead when the main opposition candidate has been kidnapped. Well thats the question that everybodys asking how can this election go ahead there was a lot of pressure on iran to to counsel these elections but theyve been counseled before 3 times before and now in the news as you mentioned in your intro of a man the 71 year old molly and who died of the covert 19 virus they found this out through his autopsy which means that people in the hospital where he was treated may have been in contact maybe spreading the virus adding fear instilling fear on voters who are out to go out of their homes and go to the polling stations to cast their vote there is also the threat of armed groups who want to see this election counseled together so a lot of pressure on the voters but it. Is saying that all the precautions are in place to have a safe vote hes saying that in the polling stations theyve put Running Water soap hydrogen and of course critics are saying that the polling stations are better equipped than the hospitals in mali and thats whats at stake in this parliamentary elections is the state of the Health Care System the Education System schools have been shut for almost a year now and so that is why this voting is taking place is trying to jumpstart all these issues that are important for mali and but it remains to be seen if they will come out and vote theres a state of emergency in place theres a curfew in place both because of the armed groups and because of the sanitation the Health Threats of covert 19 weve also just heard just hours ago that from mali in media that say the man that has been kidnapped well a group called. Well mostly mean could be behind the kidnapping of the leader of the opposition were hearing that he is in good health and that there are talks underway between the government and this group thank you for that update Nicholas Hawk and we will check in with you again later on in the day. Right now though i will talk to money who is a lecturer at the university of aberdeen a specialist on Central Africa and the hes on skype now thanks for your time sir i mean i have to put the same question to you again because i just find it so difficult to understand how these elections havent been another been delayed for a long time but how they have been delayed again with this Opposition Leader being kidnapped yes in teacher a very difficult decision for their money in government i would think because it will be elections are being postponed so many times your orders are on. The trust in. General. I get more meant continually for storming the elections doesnt out the. Door illegitimacy or even in difficult spy gris and a Peace Agreement of drought was a great party you. Need this is an election as part of the process to boost confidence in Indian Government so its a very very difficult court for the government you date dont. It would be criticised who it would be so i wind of government might want to go ahead. In very difficult conditions we often use the words free and fair when were discussing how an election might go what are your feelings about how free or fair this election might be in the end dont miley has been we want to difficulties money has it off. Organizing really cheaply people elections since. Our democracy came back and the ninetys. To the elections and mari despite the difficulties is generally a critical thought the elections will be critical to a certain extent the problem is the difficulties or equal vote so biros your interest and which is not. The number of people who are internally displaced or not this things were naked t. P. I think and. But the actual elections were to be really really critical in african stand and what about the security situation and turnout i mean are people going to want to come out in a time of a Global Pandemic and when the security was probably already a concern. Youre looking at the. Motivation and now the elections the campaign has been going on so far its an exact date there would be negative effect or turnout son. P. S. Whose real season will remain on hold into may our using the race to fans to stay at home or dynas now a from the u. K. Simon patterson simon real riders are taking part but to what extent will virtual race satisfy moto g. P. Fans. Unfortunately i dont think it will quite satisfy magicked the fans the way that weve seen a formula one fancied it by seeing their guys line up similarly last week the nature of marriage e. P. Is that its a very visual sport you can see the writer moving around in the bike you can see the interactions between them as the as they travel around the track and i think that will be lost a little bit in a virtual environment for our fans are desperate to see any sort of racing at the minute suggest to have these guys line up and compete against each other will be at least something given the long pause to what should have been the start of our season simon like other sports moated if you will be taking obviously a financial hit with their season being opposed but how much can staging races like this help i think its more of a gesture of goodwill than anything else to the broadcasters the means form of income that maruti p. Has is from their t. V. Rights deals so while they cant give accuracy to those those major who spoke casters at the minute at least just gives them something lets them produce some content to get it on air so it probably wont go too far financially but every little helps at this stage especially when we dont know when we are actually going to get the season underway ok 5 acts will go on the have already teams have already been pissed all been postponed or any of the teams in danger of going out of business if more of the season gets wiped out. Right now it doesnt seem like thats the case thankfully weve had a few really good golden years in marriage e. P. A big commercial success huge crime figures bigger t. V. Audiences than ever and the series organizers dorner has been very very good at making sure that quite a bit of that profit is falling back into the teams in quite a democratic manner so thankfully it sounds like theres a little bit of a safety net right now if that will keep them afloat the real issue i think that were facing is the people who get paid paris to attend like photographers like reporters those are the people that are really going to suffer the freelance guys Going Forward so hopefully we get some action under way certainly and things dont take a turn for the worse financially for those people or moto g. P. Writer Simon Patterson thank you very much for that and enjoy the race thank you very much.
