Algae closes Greenwood Park beach

LISLE (WBNG) -- The Greenwood Park beach in Lisle has been closed due to an algae bloom, the Broome County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Services announced Wednesday.
The department said the park will be closed until the algae bloom subsides and the Broome County Department of Health can test the water to reopen safely.
In a Facebook post, the department said, "Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we go through this process of ensuring our visitor's safety!"
The beaches at Nathaniel Cole Park and Dorchester Park are open.
