Prosecutors charged Curtys Taylor, of Oakland, and his girlfriend, Laura Rodgers, with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for meticulously planning the death of Karla Ramirez-Segoviano. Rodgers, then 23, had asked Ramirez-Segoviano to pick her up on the night of Nov. 2, 2016, then talked her into driving to Arroyo Viejo Park in East Oakland, according to court filings. Police said the two women were friends.
