Airports in Florence, Creswell and Cottage Grove will receive federal grants in order to make improvements to their facilities.
The three Lane County recipients are among a group of 17 Oregon airports that received a total of roughly $10.3 million from the Federal Aviation Administration to address issues such as winter weather preparation, runway repairs, improved guidance systems, perimeter fencing and more, according to an announcement from Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley.
Here are the grant amounts for each of the Lane County airports:
Florence Municipal Airport: $450,000 to install weather reporting equipment
City of Creswell Hobby Field: $160,000 to install runway vertical/visual guidance system
