Knife-wielding thugs with English accents chased teenager down lane and mugged him THUGS chased a teenager down a lane and mugged him at knifepoint taking his wallet. The two attackers approached the 19-year-old victim as he was walking from Kennedy Drive to Deedes Street, Airdrie. They followed him along the street past a convenience store and then threatened him with a knife in a lane leading to lock-ups near Southburn Road. They made off in the direction of Centenary Avenue after the robbery which took place around 7.30pm on Tuesday, December 8. Police said the first suspect was black, between 17 to 20 years old, around five feet and 10 inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a beanie hat, dark-coloured jacket and black trousers and carrying an Adidas rucksack. The second robber was the same complexion, age range, height and build and was wearing black trousers with a black puffer jacket.
