Aging expert and local physician Dr. Walter Bortz II dies at

After a period of declining health, Dr. Walter Bortz II died in his Portola Valley home on Aug. 5. He was 93 years old. Best known for his work on aging, he worked as a physician at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation for decades.
