According to Wyoming Department of Health data, 61or older Sweetwater County residents risk losing services through The Wyoming Home Services Program without a funding commitment for the program from the Wyoming Legislature in March’s session. Statewide, nearly 2,000 residents may lose their home services through the Wyoming Home Services Program without continued funding for the program. The Home Services program provides help with activities of daily living such as bathing and dressing for those who are in danger of requiring institutionalization. In Sweetwater County, Wyoming Home Services program services are delivered through Rock Springs Young At Heart. Debate on funding The Wyoming Home Services program and state budget will likely take place in The Wyoming Legislature the week of March 8.
