Vadodara: Salahuddin Jainuddin, a city-based businessman, who has been arrested by Uttar Pradesh anti-terrorist squad (ATS) in an alleged illegal religious conversion racket, is trustee of an organisation on Waghodia Road. Sources in the police department said that Salahuddin had also played a key role in starting Muslim Medical Centre in the city where Covid patients, mostly from minority community, were treated. “He has been staying in the city for a long time and is a trustee in two organisations. He also runs a ready to eat snacks business that is located in Bajwa. Salahuddin had been running his other activities discreetly,” said a police official. The ATS sleuths brought 56-year-old Salahuddin to his residence at Krishna Towers in Fatehgunj and searched the flat.
