A pilot project to store food grain falters in Punjab

4 state procurement agencies in Punjab were to procure 5,000 wooden crates to store food grains. Instead, only 625 were bought. The Ukraine war, a government food security scheme and the heat wave are reasons cited by officials for the project failing to take off.
