A luxury launch is no longer beached near the entrance to Auckland's Tamaki River 29 December 2020 Two people needed to be rescued, but nobody was injured. Holes in the launch were patched and it was pulled off the rocks at high tide yesterday, and towed to Half Moon Bay marina. Salvage master Nick Lewis acknowledges there had been a clear navigational error. The boat has been handed over to an insurance company for assessment.
