ORION, Bataan - Police nabbed seven persons allegedly engaged in illegal drug activities and confiscated suspected shabu and firearms in a buy-bust operation in this town on Friday afternoon. In a police report on Saturday, Maj. Jeffrey S. Onde, Orion police chief, said caught in possession of shabu were security guard Allan Leoveras, 44, and live-in partner Annalyn Sabinorio, 37; Raymundo Malinao, 38; Armando Timblique, 25; Francisco Timblique, 33; Mary Ann Mahinay, 24; all of Barangay Daan Pari, this town, and Joey Gulia, 30, of Barangay St. Francis II in Limay. Confiscated were nine pieces of small transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and firearms and ammunition consisting of an improvised shotgun, a caliber .38 revolver, and various live ammunition. Onde said the security guard and his live-in-partner were the first to fall in the drug operation after they sold to a police poseur-buyer a sachet of shabu in exchange for a marked PHP500 bill. He said during the conduct of protective searches, the raiding team found in the possession and control of Leoveras the firearms and two sachets of shabu while the other six sachets were confiscated from the other suspects. The raiding team in the buy-bust operation in Daan Pari consisted of personnel of the Orion Municipal Police, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. Onde said they were preparing against the seven suspects cases for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act while another case for violating RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against Leoveras.
