For some musicians, having an alter ego is a key to their success. When it comes to performance, mystery, artistry or some other form of creativity, having a mask, whether literally or metaphorically, can be a benefit. Sometimes another side of you can come out when you don a costume or different moniker or alter ego and, with that, better work can come forth.
