Johnson & Johnson ist eigenen Angaben zufolge in Gesprächen mit der US-Arzneimittelbehörde FDA über das neurologische Krankheitsbild Guillain-Barre-Syndrom nach einer Impfung mit seinem Mittel. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass dieses Syndrom auftrete, sei sehr gering, teilt Johnson & Johnson mit. Zuvor hatte das "Wall Street Journal" berichtet, dass die FDA einen neuen Warnhinweis bei dem Mittel Janssen des US-Konzerns veröffentlichen werde. Bei dem Guillain-Barre-Syndrom handelt es ich eine seltene Autoimmun-Krankheit, bei der das Nervensystem angegriffen wird.
