16 people arrested in massive drug bust in Blount County Share Updated: 8:56 AM CST Dec 12, 2020 Linda Grantin Share Updated: 8:56 AM CST Dec 12, 2020 Linda Grantin Multiple agencies in Blount County work together to uncover huge drug operation.Oneonta Police Department announced they arrested 16 people Thursday for drug related crimes.The charges range from drug trafficking , distribution of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances, receiving stolen property and a variety of outstanding warrants, officials said.Authorities confiscated approximately six pounds of marijuana, one pound of spice, fur grams of cocaine, 16 grams of methamphetamine, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, four guns, two vehicles and $75,000 in drug proceeds, according to the police report.The Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force Region F, the Blount County Sheriff's Department, the Oneonta Police Department, the Sneed Police Department, the Highland Lake Police Department, the Hayden Police Department, and DEA all participated in the operation.
