100 Face Shields for San Ignacio Community Hospital
In other COVID-19 news, the San Ignacio Community Hospital has received a donation of one hundred face shields. The gift to Belize is the result of a collaboration between a student from the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus and Nahir Habet, Engineering Manager at Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute in North Carolina. Habet was the student’s advisor on a separate biochemical project and Habet told him about the need for protective gear for frontline healthcare workers.  NahirHabet is the son of Area Representative of Cayo Northeast Minister Orlando Habet who handed over the protective gears to Hospital Administrator Lizbeth Guerra.
