Staff Writer ELKINS — The Randolph County Development Authority announced that 10 different architecture and engineering firms have expressed interest in the proposed strategic plan for the Elkins Railyard. The RCDA recently put out a request for proposals for the construction of a commercial building as well as an event center/conference center in the popular downtown area. “We received proposals from 10 different architecture and engineering firms for the event center and the multi-tenant commercial building,” RCDA Executive Director Robbie Morris told The Inter-Mountain Thursday. “So we will be going through the process to evaluate those and schedule interviews with those firms.”
