The hospice is now a level 3 Partner with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. PeaceHealth Whatcom Hospice provides specialized care to Veterans facing a serious illness. Since partnering with We Honor Veterans in 2012, hospice staff and volunteers have performed more than 400 service recognition pinning ceremonies. We Honor Veterans was launched in 2010 to address the growing need for Veteran-centered care, especially as veterans from different eras age and need access to Veteran-centric palliative and hospital care.
