MADISON, Wis. — Spring semester has come to an end, which means students at UW-Madison are moving out of residence halls and signing off the Safer Badger app.
According to the university’s most recent data, more than 17,000 students and staff were tested for COVID-19 from April 29 to May 6. Only 18 of them tested positive, compared to 52 people the week before.
In September toward the beginning of the school year, the university had a 7-day positivity rate of more than 8%, forcing many undergraduate students in campus residence halls to quarantine.
