For as long as I can remember, there has always been a void within me; that there has to be more to this existence called life.
It was there on my first day of prep, it was there during my rebellious years in high school, and it was there in my 20s during my search of a meaningful life.
What began to fill that void came in fragments, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle found along the path.
The puzzle still hasn't fully revealed itself but after decades searching for it, I'm finally beginning to understand the message behind it.
As corny as it may sound, what I discovered was Love.
That the ability exists to love unconditionally and with compassion.
Hence why I adopted the phrase "Love Life by Living to Love".

I began my apprenticeship in my late 20s, which is quite uncommon considering most apprentice chefs are in their late teens and early 20s.
By the second year of my training, I was contemplating on what direction I should steer my career towards; should I try fine-dining or open my own establishment? Then a series of events occurred that changed everything….
In a period of 2 years, I attended three funerals.
That was three more than I've been to in the past two decades.
To see the anguish on the faces of the family members and to hear their cries – it was, for me, rather confronting.
I felt helpless that I couldn't do anything for my extended family and friends, even at least to help relieve their suffering in some small way.

These experiences marked the final turning point that ultimately led me down this unbeaten path and in search of a Healthier, Happier and Wholesome Life.
A path I hope that will lead to the discoveries of recipes (and more) for a quality of life filled with meaning and altruism..
