Detailed description is The mission of the Windsor-Essex County ALS Society is to assist persons living with ALS and their families while contributing to research that leads to a cure.
We are a volunteer charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those afflicted with this disease and supporting research to eradicate ALS.
Our organization started in 1983, was formalized in 1984 and was incorporated with charitable tax status in 2000..

Funds raised support patient services in Windsor-Essex County and Chatham-Kent, including:.
- Helping to provide from basic to intricate mobility and communication equipment.
