Welcome to the Lake Lanier Junior Crew facebook page! We are a raidly expanding community based club excelling in the fastest growing high school and college sport in the nation.
Rowing itself is the oldest collegiate sport in the country and most division 1 Universities have either a club rowing team or a scholarship team now.
Rowers themselves are considered some of the best "in-shape" athletes in the world.
One practice with the Lake Lanier Rowing Club will burn anywhere between 500-1000 Calories, the equivalent of two basketball games played back-to-back without rest.

Lake Lanier itself competes locally and throughout the Southwest with other organizations.
We travel to Oak Ridge, Atlanta, Clemson, Sarasota, Huntsville, Augusta, and many other places throughout the country.
We compete at the highest level of high school athletics and the demand on a rower is much higher than most people realize.
With that being said, every single one of our rowers love the challenge, embrace the hard work, and seem to enjoy it.
Rowing is more than just a sport, it's a great way to meet new friends, stay in good shape, travel around the country, learn teamwork and other valuable life lessons.
It is also an excellent opportunity to earn a college scholarship depending on the rower's success..
