Detailed description is Foothills Shooting Complex of Cleveland County, NC opened April 19th 2016 Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County is located at 283 Fielding Road, Cherryville NC 28021 – off NC Hwy 150 between Shelby and Cherryville, North Carolina.

Come visit the most unique venue for the shooting sports in Western North Carolina.
We have a 250 yard covered rifle range, a covered 20 yard pistol range and a covered rifle range, a 50 yard multi-use range, two skeet/trap ranges, 50 yard archery practice area and 3-D archery course.
We also have a media ready classroom for 30 students, gift shop, concession area with restrooms, variety of steel targets and a staff of Range Safety Officers with experience in all shooting sports.
All ranges are American with Disabilities (ADA) compliant.

All persons must first check in at the range office when visiting Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County.
Here you will be greeted by our professional staff and get your safety briefing, sign your waiver (under 18, your parent or legal guardian has to sign) and receive your Range ID.
While paying for your range time check out the items in our gift shop area.

Everyone must sign a waiver before going onto any of the ranges.
Only parents or legal guardians may sign a waiver for a minor.
All waivers must also be signed by a witness.

RANGE RULES.

COLD RANGE.
.
The Foothills Public Shooting Complex is a COLD range.
This means you cannot come on the property with a loaded weapon, even if you have a concealed carry license.
Your weapon can only be loaded when you're on the firing line and the line has been declared hot.
Persons in violation of this rule will be asked to leave the property..

RESTRICTED AMMUNITION.
.
For safety and maintenance considerations the following types of ammunition are not allowed to be used at the Foothills Public Shooting Complex:.
• Tracers of any type.
• Steel core projectiles of any caliber.
• .338 Lapua / .50 caliber or larger.
All ammunition will be checked with magnet prior to shooting.
The Range Master has final authority on what type ammunition can be used..

RANGE RULES.

• Follow all Range Safety Officer commands.
• Loaded firearms are only permitted on firing line.
• NO OPEN TOE SHOES OR TANK TOPS ALLOWED.
• Handguns should be cased or holstered slides back & magazine removed.
• Shooters must clean up all brass & trash.
• Alcohol and any illegal substance are prohibited.
