Singapore-Based Anugerah Persuratan Announces Its Malay Winners

In that time, more than 150 writers have been honored with recognition in the program.  In addition to recognizing strong literature, the program also is devised to encourage new writings in Bahasa Malaysia. While English is prevalent in Singapore, Malay is actually a constitutionally designated national language and one of four officially appointed languages, the other three being Mandarin Chinese, Tamil, and English.

QSL: Al Gharafa jump to second spot with big win

 10 Dec 2020 - 9:13 Al Gharafa players celebrate after defeating Al Ahli yesterday. The Peninsula Doha: Al Gharafa leapfrogged Al Ahli to the second position of the QNB Stars League (QSL) standings with a crushing 4-0 win while  Umm Salal and Qatar SC won their respective Round 8 matches yesterday. Al Ahli Stadium yesterday, a double from Jonathan Kodjia (14th and 25th minutes), and a goal from Othman Al Yahri (35th) powered Al Gharafa to their sixth win of the season. Al Ahli’s Shane Lowry scored an own goal in the 52nd minute to add to The Cheetahs’ tally. Al Gharafa now have 18 points as the latter remained on 16 points after suffering their second defeat.
