Treasury s new campus to be relocated to Darlington under Chancellor s North project

Rishi Sunak will announce the plans this afternoon
Hundreds of jobs will be relocated from London to Darlington under the Chancellor s Treasury North project.
In a video to his department s civil servants, Rishi Sunak said that after a lot of thought and energy , the new economic campus would be in the north east market town.
Mr Sunak said he was really excited about the decision, according to the recording of the message which has been shared on social media.
Addressing the commons during this speech Mr Sunak confirmed the Treasury would establish a new economic campus in Darlington, and said there would be more than £1 billion for 45 new towns deals.

Universal Credit claimants must agree to what is known as a claimant commitment, which sets out what applicants are expected to do in return for benefits and support.
