American Licorice Company adds Torie & Howard candy brand to its portfolio By Anthony Myers American Licorice Company, maker of the Red Vines and Sour Punch brands, has announced it has acquired Torie & Howard, maker of Organic Hard Candy and Chewie Fruities, as well as Organic Candy Chews.
Co-founded by Torie Burke and Howard Slatkin in 2012 with a pledge to produce health friendly and socially conscious treats, Torie & Howard candies are USDA Organic and Kosher certified, allergen friendly, Non-GMO, vegan, and gluten free.
Burke will also join the American Licorice team to continue developing the Torie & Howard brand.
