The provincial government will be providing nearly $5.5 million in additional capital funding to the St. Lawrence Parks Commission.
The announcement, made by Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries Minister Lisa MacLeod, came Monday morning from the grounds of the Mallory Coach House in Mallorytown.

Of the additional funding, $4 million is being allocated for general repairs of historic sites and attractions within the commission’s purview. Another $1 million will be put towards critical work on the sewage and water drinking systems along with washroom revitalizations. This will include biological and archaeological surveys.
