POTSDAM – The town board has approved spending $290,714.06 in state funding for upcoming highway work for the following stretches of roadway.
At its Feb. 9 meeting town councilmembers and the supervisor authorized repair and improvement of .08 miles of Parmenter Road, starting at Sweeney Road and Root Road intersection. The work is not to exceed $86,000.
Also approved was work on about 1.2 miles of the Waite Road starting at the Potsdam-Morley Road and leading west toward the Wright Road. The work is not to cost more than $105.684.06.
Finally, 1.1 miles of the Potsdam-Morley Road, from Waite Road to Hoadley Road, was approved for repair. The cost of that work is not to exceed $99,030.
