The Unaccompanied Student Initiative (USI) of Casper held an open house last month to show the community just what it is that they do, as well as the services that they offer. And the services they offer are vital, especially in Natrona County.

Highland Park tour to showcase 10 unique gardens

Highland Park visitors can stop and smell the flowers during a tour showcasing 10 unique gardens. The Highland Park Garden Club, which supports community gardening and promotes gardening education, will host its first Highland Park Secret Garden Tour July 11. The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. The tour features 10 gardens, each offering its own charms. Some feature ponds and “she-sheds,” while others display outdoor living rooms and multi-level decks. There’s even a compact urban vegetable garden and a pool. The first stop on the self-guided tour will be the Highland Park Entrance Gardens and Fountain. Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy staff will be there to answer questions about the fountain, reflecting pool and gardens.

Updated 5/7/2021 10:26 AM Highland Park Community Foundation (HPCF) welcomes Banner Kitchen & Bath, a respected industry leader since 1946, to the HPCF Corporate Champion Program. The HPCF Corporate Champion Program, launched in 2020, was created to develop relationships with businesses and build long-term partnerships that will help the HPCF address unmet needs of and expand opportunities for all Highland Park and Highwood residents. The HPCF awards grants on an annual basis to nonprofits and agencies that provide a wide range of programs and services for the youngest to the oldest members of our community. Donations to the HPCF through its Corporate Champion Program will help ensure the HPCF has the financial resources it needs to support these programs.
