HENRICO COUNTY, Va. Henrico school leaders toured the new J.R. Tucker High School for the first time since construction began Monday morning.
In the background, construction workers were busy laying brick and drywall to get classrooms ready to welcome students this fall. What an incredible space for teaching and learning, said Henrico County Superintendent Amy Cashwell. âWhat you see in the new building was purposeful use of natural light everywhere, high ceilings, a lot of bringing the outdoors in and a lot of courtyard spaces.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Two teachers in Henrico County were awarded the âTeacher of the Yearâ award and the âFirst-Year Teacher of the Yearâ award.
Eric Byers, an Earth Science teacher at Highland Springs High School, was awarded that honor Tuesday during a live stream event and surprise announcement at the school, along with a $1,000 check from Henrico Federal Credit Union.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. Henrico County high school seniors will graduate, in person, at ceremonies held inside the Richmond Raceway, county school officials announced Friday. Richmond Racewayâs size will enable each schoolâs graduating seniors to gather as a group and take part in a traditional ceremony, accepting their diplomas in person, a Henrico Schools spokesperson wrote in an email. HENRICO Co., Va. (WWBT) - Henrico County Public Schools will hold in-person, traditional graduation ceremonies where seniors will be able to gather as a group and accept their diplomas.
Nine high school and two Advanced Career Education center ceremonies will hold ceremonies at the Richmond Raceway June 14-17. The Academy at Virginia Randolph will hold its graduation ceremony on June 9 at the Virginia Randolph Recreation Area.
