Now the same women’s Bible study group that organized the first event has planned another one for 6 p.m. Saturday, May 1.

Two Charged for Pouring Dish Soap in Highland Courthouse Fountain | The 90s to Now

Apr 15, 2021 Two people have been charged as the result of a prank in Hillsboro from September of 2020. According to a press release, Hillsboro Police on Wednesday, April 14th charged Tristan M. Nicely, 23, of Hillsboro, and Makayla A. Jordan, 21, of Lynchburg, with one count each of Criminal Mischief. The charge stems from the September 26th , 2020 incident where dish soap was poured into the decorative fountain at the Highland County Courthouse, causing the fountain to overflow with bubbles. An investigation led officers to Jordan and Nicely, who admitted to pouring the soap into the fountain.

Facebook screenshot by Tim Colliver | The Times-Gazette One of the two women involved in the September 2020 escape attempt by Nickolaus Garrison, 34, Hillsboro, received a three-year community control sentence Monday by visiting Judge Daniel Hogan in Highland County Common Pleas Court. The 18-month prison sentence that Alicia M. Ralston, 32, Chillicothe, could have received on the complicity to escape conviction was suspended by Hogan, with instructions in the courts conditions of supervision ordering that she continue in her efforts to obtain her GED, and successfully complete substance abuse disorder treatment through the Georgia Harris house and all recommended aftercare.

Times-Gazette file photo A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a September 2020 incident that caused the new fountain on the Highland County Courthouse Square in Hillsboro to be shut down. The Hillsboro Police Department said that on Wednesday a police officer obtained information about the Sept. 26, 2020 incident when two subjects allegedly poured dish soap in the fountain causing it to overflow with bubbles. The incident required city maintenance crews to clean and drain the fountain the following day.
