Two people have been charged as the result of a prank in Hillsboro from September of 2020.
According to a press release, Hillsboro Police on Wednesday, April 14th charged Tristan M. Nicely, 23, of Hillsboro, and Makayla A. Jordan, 21, of Lynchburg, with one count each of Criminal Mischief.
The charge stems from the September 26th , 2020 incident where dish soap was poured into the decorative fountain at the Highland County Courthouse, causing the fountain to overflow with bubbles.
An investigation led officers to Jordan and Nicely, who admitted to pouring the soap into the fountain.
