Incumbent Hightstown Councilman Joseph Cicalese and political newcomer Cristina Fowler, both Democrats, were sworn into office for three-year terms. Cicalese was filling out a vacancy on the Borough Council, but will now serve a full three-year term. Cicalese thanked Hightstown voters for “inviting me back” to serve on the council. He thanked his colleagues on the Borough Council, the municipal staff and the volunteers who serve on the advisory boards and committees.

Both meetings will be held virtually. The highlight of the Hightstown Borough Council’s reorganization meeting, which is set for Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m., is the swearing in of two Borough Council members. Joseph Cicalese and Cristina Fowler will be sworn into office for a three-year term on the Hightstown Borough Council. Cicalese was appointed to fill out an unexpired term in 2019 and subsequently ran for election for a full term. He has lived in Hightstown since 2016.
