Updated / Saturday, 26 Dec 2020 12:12 The mother claimed that the children would be at grave risk if forced to leave Ireland and return to England A High Court judge has ruled that two young girls brought to Ireland by their mother earlier this year, should be returned to England. The two girls were brought to Ireland without the consent or prior knowledge of their father, who sought their return. They were also the subject of ongoing care proceedings before the English courts due to concerns the UK authorities have about their welfare. In a judgment ordering their return, Ms Justice Mary Rose Gearty said she was satisfied that there was insufficient evidence that they would be placed in grave danger when returned, as alleged by their mother.
