CORONAVIRUS: Covid-19 in Cumbria CONFIRMED cases of the Indian Variant of coronavirus were revealed yesterday as the most recent lockdown easing came into place. Cumbria’s director of public health has said that there were a ‘small number’ of cases of the variant in the region, according to data revealed yesterday morning. The cases have been located in South Lakeland but no further information has yet become available. Helen Bach said: “Remember back on the April 28 when we were told by the Government that France was having a four-week Lockdown as it was so bad there (deaths & cases peaked April 17)? Remember when the experts and 3rd rate politicians told us it was it was only a matter of time as we’re always 2 weeks behind the continent? Well 20 days later we’re still flat at around 33 million positive test results.”
Should police officers get the Covid vaccine next? (Here s what you had to say). THE decision not to prioritise Police Officers for the Coronavirus vaccine has been met with fury from the chairman of Cumbria Police Federation. The chairman of the body representing police officers in Cumbria dubbed the Government’s decision not to give vaccine priority to the country’s cops ‘shameful’ and ‘perverse.’ Harry Vader said: “Before the Police they should do the shop workers, no offence but all I ever see of the Police in a car together and do not come into contact with the public, at least nowhere near the amount shop workers do. That may not be the case in the cities with the Police are on the street but here I’m more likely to see a UFO than the Police.”
The pandemic has also led to employment in the sector shrinking by 38,000 jobs. Helen Bach said: ONS survey shows 1 in 4 adults are economically inactive. I assume it d be too much to assume that the lockdown fanatics are waking up to the fact that not only does your magic bullet of lockdown fail to stop bat flu, it also destroyed the economy? Colin Towns said: How much longer, genuinely, should the lockdown be allowed to go on for until it officially causes more harm than good? There is a line so are we nearly at it yet? Susan Murphy said: I m sorry but if anyone is genuinely concerned about money at a time like this you are the problem. These are people s lives, and all some people think about is profit.
