Viu, the over-the-top (OTT) service of PCCW, placed first among premium major video streaming platforms in Southeast Asia in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a report.
According to the “Southeast Asia Online Video Consumer Insights & Analytics: A Definitive Study” by AMPD Research, a subsidiary of Media Partners Asia (MPA), Viu is No. 1 in aggregate monthly active users in Southeast Asia, which covered the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand in the report.
It added that Viu is second in paid subscribers and streaming minutes among major streaming platforms in Southeast Asia.
