Henderson County Republican Party Chairwoman Chelsea Walsh filed to run for Hendersonville’s City Council on Friday shortly before the filing period ended. Walsh’s position with the county’s Republican party prompted a call to the state’s board of elections to make sure her candidacy was legal, Troutman said.
