HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - After a Henderson County Sheriffâs Office deputy stopped a Murchison man on a traffic violation Saturday, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a loaded syringe with a substance believed to meth.
Duane Tank is still being held in the Henderson County Jail for possession of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams, failure to identify as a fugitive, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failure to appear.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - Henderson County law enforcement officers have captured the man who allegedly assaulted a deputy Saturday morning and then fled on foot.
According to a post on the Henderson County Sheriffâs Office Facebook page, Joshua Thomas Smitherman, the 28-year-old suspect, is now in custody. At this point, Smitherman has not been formally charged yet.
Earlier Saturday, the sheriffâs office asked for the publicâs help in locating Smitherman. During the brief search, authorities thought he was still in the Payne Springs area.
