Emergency crews responded about 7 p.m. Thursday to a report of a teen struck by a vehicle in the 1600-block of Huron Street, east of Highbury Avenue, London police said. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Police said the teen, whose exact age is unknown, was struck by a car after grabbing onto the back of a moving vehicle that passed him, an investigation revealed. Police have not laid any charges in connection to the incident.

After taking a year off, the contest – dubbed Hope is Growing – is being run by local Communities in Bloom chapters as part of a nationwide effort to highlight gardens that have brought hope and joy during the second summer of the pandemic.
