Deva Fest returns to Chester - with tickets selling fast

Officially launched in 2019 Cheshire’s Family Friendly Music, Food and Lifestyle Extravaganza, Deva Fest proved popular. Like many 2020 events, the second-year festival had to be postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but organisers doubled down and added even more star names for their 2021 event. Deva Fest will take place across the weekend of Friday-Sunday, August 13-15, at Chester Lakes in Dodleston, just outside Chester city centre. Tickets are on sale now and are said to be selling fast, with a limited number of tickets left at the current price levels. Organisers have already shown their gratitude to pandemic workers, with over £8,000 worth of tickets going out to the NHS and key workers. All tickets are currently being sold with a Covid-19 guarantee with tickets rescheduled or refunded should the event not take place.

BBC News By Steven McIntosh image copyrightGetty Images image captionHarry Styles and Camila Cabello are two of the biggest pop stars in the world It goes without saying that most pop stars are beautiful to look at. But while Harry Styles and Camila Cabello look good enough to spread on toast, there are plenty of other artists who don t fit the stereotype. Or think back to the 2009 series of Britain s Got Talent, which saw Susan Boyle step on stage in frumpy clothing to be met by jeers and eye-rolls from the audience. You ll remember what happened next.

Nick Knowles backs charity calls to not forget youngsters in lockdown plan | UK | News

The children it supports have faced numerous challenges from a reduction in their usual support services and therapies to changes in routine, being isolated at home, and homeschooling. The pandemic has also hit family finances as job losses or reduced hours take their toll, particularly for those with a disabled child who outgoings are on average £600 a month higher than other families. The campaign is backed by Mr Knowles, Olympic stars Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean, Eamonn Holmes, Heather Small and Lorraine Kelly. The aim is to encourage the nation to keep passing on the acts of kindness that flourished during the past year and help Variety’s work with disabled and disadvantaged children by sharing photos and videos and raising much needed donations.
