The Hillsboro Greenhouse Management Class plants, waters and cares for these plants when getting them ready for the sale. The students are learning the practices of growing healthy plants. They are also learning growing, planting, transplanting, fertilizing, pesticide, marketing and customer service. The class is selling petunias, marigolds, snapdragons, geraniums and more. The greenhouse projects are mainly used for educational purposes, but any profit from the sales goes directly to greenhouse upkeep, purchases for the following year, and FFA activities.
